A Laboratory Information System (LIS) software provider in Eastern Europe faced technical limitations: An outdated test management system was slowing down processes.; Data transfer between laboratory equipment and physicians/patients was fragmented; Test results reached patients with delays, and manual data entry created a high risk of errors. The business needed a secure, scalable, and modern tool to accelerate data exchange and improve service quality.
Solution
We have developed an integration layer that: Connected legacy laboratory equipment with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure); Ensured compatibility with LIS, MIS, and physician/patient portals; Implemented standards HL7, FHIR, GDPR, ISO 27001; Automated data collection, processing, and reporting; Prepared the system for telemedicine and AI diagnostics. The solution is built on PostgreSQL, Java, Node.js, React, secured with TLS 1.3 and RBAC, and is ready for scaling.
